The School Liaison Officer for Geilenkirchen assists community partners in providing the best possible education for all students by serving as the commander's liaison between the installation, school, and community.

Some of the SLO duties include:
1. Determination of eligibility for free/reduced price school
lunch program.
2. Attendance at monthly School Advisory Committee meetings.
3. Command representation at school functions.
4. Commander advisement on matters of school interest.
5. Assistance with school bus discipline
